Lansing K. Steiner, 56, of Croghan, died Aug. 11, 2026, at St. Joseph's Hospital in Syracuse, according to an obituary published by Sundquist Funeral Home. The obituary says he was born Aug. 7, 1970, and that his death followed complications from Type 1 diabetes. Calling hours and a celebration of life are scheduled for Friday, Aug. 28, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Sundquist Funeral Home, 7676 N State St., Lowville. The obituary says Steiner graduated from Beaver River Central School in 1989 and earned a degree in radio and television broadcasting from Herkimer County Community College in 1992.
