Early fall color is appearing across St. Lawrence County, with Wanakena showing the greatest change in the county so far, according to the first 2026 I LOVE NY Fall Foliage Report. Wanakena is reporting up to 20% change, while Potsdam is at about 15% and Eisenhower Lock in Massena is at about 10%.
The report is compiled from more than 100 volunteer observers and describes expected conditions for the coming weekend. The season is also beginning to change elsewhere in New York, with the most significant changes expected this weekend in the Adirondacks.
