Chun Yan, 42, a Chinese citizen accused of taking $53,000 from an elderly Ogdensburg woman in February, was denied a bond hearing in federal court, the U.S. Attorney for the Western District of New York said.
Yan entered the United States illegally from Mexico in 2023 and is awaiting removal by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
