Four North Country community events planned for Sept. 18-20

Community events in Carthage, Norwood, Redwood and Colton are scheduled for Sept. 18-20, including a play, festivals and a church gathering.

Several North Country communities have events planned for the weekend of Sept. 18-20, including a theater production, harvest festival, music festival and community gathering.

Our Town, presented by Carthage Little Theatre, is scheduled for 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Sept. 18, at the Carthage Central High School Auditorium. Tickets are $15 for general admission and will be available at the door.

On Saturday, Sept. 19, the Norwood Harvest Festival is planned from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Norwood Village Green. Activities include vendors, pumpkin painting, games, music and apple bobbing. A chicken barbecue is scheduled for 5 p.m., followed by hayrides and dancing.

Also Saturday, Hicks in the Stix is scheduled from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Rossie Community Center in Redwood. The music festival will benefit the community center and include performances by David Wells, Look Twice, Nine Lives Later and Sister Cinnamon. Admission is $10 per person.

The Spirit of America Community Festival is planned for 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 20, at Colton Community Church. The free event will include music, food, games, a bounce house and history presentations.
