Four North Country events planned for Sept. 11-12
Events in Watertown, Jefferson County, Croghan and Black River include a 9/11 remembrance, craft fair, harvest festival and block party.
Several public events are scheduled across the North Country on Sept. 11 and 12, including a remembrance program in Watertown, a craft fair, a harvest festival and a block party.
The North Country Remembers 9/11: 25 Years Later is scheduled for Sept. 11 and 12 at The Strand in Watertown. The program begins at 6 p.m., followed by the play “WTC View” at 7 p.m. Tickets cost $10 and are available through the Watertown Lyric Theater website.
The Victorian Craft Fair is planned for Sept. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Jefferson County Historical Society. Admission is $5. The event is scheduled to include handmade goods, local crafters, food trucks and music.
Also on Sept. 12, the Zwanzigstein Harvest Fest is set for 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Mennonite Heritage Farm in Croghan. The schedule includes family stories, a Freedom Reigns presentation, a community hymn sing, demonstrations and food. Connect the Blocks, Black River’s Block Party, is planned from noon to 7 p.m. at Maple Street Park in Black River, with vendors, food, drinks, music and activities for children.
