Harrisville man charged after police pursuit through three towns
A Harrisville man was charged after New York State Police said a vehicle pursuit traveled through Fine, Edwards and Pitcairn before ending on Toothaker Road.
New York State Police said a 42-year-old Harrisville man was charged after a pursuit that began near the Newton Falls Papermill in Pitcairn and continued through Fine, Edwards and Pitcairn. The pursuit ended on Toothaker Road, where police took the driver into custody, according to the report.
The man faces charges of third-degree burglary, possession of burglar’s tools and third-degree unlawful fleeing of a police officer in a motor vehicle. He was processed at the State Police station in Gouverneur, arraigned in Pitcairn Town Court and released on his own recognizance, the report said.
