Lowville VFW holds ceremony marking 9/11 anniversary

Lewis County Memorial VFW Post 6912 held a ceremony in Lowville on Friday marking the anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks and honoring those who died and the first responders who served that day.

Mike Fayle, who was sent to New York City the morning of the attacks, spoke about his experience with a team assigned to help contain Ground Zero. Randa Ortleib organized the ceremony, which also recognized the service of veterans, military members and first responders.
