Ogdensburg man charged after alleged golf cart theft at Gouverneur fair

Gouverneur village police said an Ogdensburg man was arrested after a golf cart was allegedly taken from the Gouverneur and St. Lawrence County Fair and later found on Factory Street.

Gouverneur village police said Anthony Russell, 31, of Ogdensburg was arrested Aug. 9 and charged with grand larceny in connection with an alleged golf cart theft at the Gouverneur and St. Lawrence County Fair.

Police said the golf cart was allegedly taken from the fairgrounds the night before and later found on Factory Street. Russell was released and ordered to appear in Gouverneur Town Court at a later date.
