Watertown officials are considering a solar project at the city’s capped landfill on Water Street. City Manager Eric Wagenaar said a consultant found the site could support an initial 40-acre solar array, with the possibility of expanding to as many as 78 acres later.
Wagenaar said the project could produce 15,000 megawatts of power. The city is still weighing whether the proposal is feasible.
