Massena man charged after alleged domestic dispute involving children

New York State Police said Hugh E. Boyd, 34, of Massena was arrested early Sept. 12 after an alleged domestic dispute at a residence on County Route 45 in the town of Massena. Police said children were present and that a cell phone and a child’s tablet were damaged during the incident.

Boyd was charged with first-degree criminal contempt, third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child. State Police said an order of protection was in place for the victim. Boyd was arraigned in Massena Town Court and remanded to the St. Lawrence County Jail on bail conditions of $1,000 cash, a $5,000 bond or a $10,000 partially secured bond.
