Watertown development corporation approves $10,000 shopping program

The Watertown Local Development Corporation approved a $10,000 program intended to encourage customers to shop at businesses across the city.

Under the program, customers would pay $25 for a $50 gift certificate. The corporation would provide the remaining $25 through a matching grant, giving each participating customer $50 in purchasing value.
